Mr. José Sánchez-Castro is a co-founding member of the firm. José’s practice focuses on securities and corporate laws. He represents established investing companies in a wide range of transactions, including public offerings, mergers and acquisitions, and federal and state securities laws compliance.
Mr. Pirillo is a co-founding member of the firm. A pioneer of the offshore banking industry in Puerto Rico, he is in the forefront on advising international financial institutions and individuals about all applicable provisions. His practice ranges from financial regulatory implementations, cross-border collateral transactions and corporate governance.
Mrs. Méndez works on areas of transactional practice, including corporate law, commercial law, real estate finance, and banking, with particular focus on securities regulation aspects, licensing, commercial contracts, corporate governance and regulatory and compliance matters.
Ms. Janelle Reyes is a tax attorney whose practice areas include corporate taxation; tax exemption; income, property and municipal taxation; tax disputes; and employee benefits. Janelle also has experience in areas of commercial litigation, asset protection, and estate planning and liquidation.
Mr. Gustavo Viviani is a trial lawyer focusing on litigation matters, particularly of a banking, corporate and estate law nature. He has substantial court experience and frequently represents financial institutions in the Puerto Rico Supreme Court, Puerto Rico Court of Appeals, Puerto Rico State Court, Federal District Court and Puerto Rico Bankruptcy Court.
Mrs. Monica Sanchez is a trial lawyer focusing on state and federal litigation matters, particularly of a torts, breach of contract, collections, estate-planning law nature. She has substantial court, bench and jury trial experience and frequently represents clients in the Puerto Rico Supreme Court, Puerto Rico Court of Appeals, Puerto Rico State Court, Federal District Court and Puerto Rico Bankruptcy Court.
Before joining the firm, Mr. Waldemar Pérez was a legal advisor in the House of Representatives of Puerto Rico, responsible of drafting legislation in accordance with the findings published by the Comptroller of Puerto Rico in order to prevent the misuse or mismanagement of Puerto Rico’s public funds.
